What we believe

An ancient faith.
A living hope.

We are rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus Christ, formed by the historic faith of the Church, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to embody God’s grace in the world.

Explore our shared faith

The faith once delivered

Grounded in the
Nicene Creed.

The Nicene Creed gives the Church a historic, shared language for the heart of Christian belief.

We do not treat the creed as a replacement for Scripture. We receive it as a faithful summary of the biblical witness to the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and to the saving work of Jesus Christ.

One God, the Father

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.

One Lord, Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God—fully God and fully human—through whom all things were made.

The incarnation

For us and for our salvation, the Son came down from heaven, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and became truly human.

The cross and resurrection

Jesus was crucified, died, was buried, and rose bodily on the third day. In Him, sin and death have been defeated.

His reign and return

Jesus ascended to the Father, reigns as Lord, and will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. His Kingdom will have no end.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who is worshiped with the Father and the Son and who spoke through the prophets.

One Church

We believe in one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. Here, catholic means the one universal body of Christ across every nation, culture, and generation.

Baptism and new life

We confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and a life of repentance, discipleship, communion, and witness.

The life to come

We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Our hope is anchored in God’s promised renewal of all things.

The apostolic tradition

Equipped for the
work of ministry.

“Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service.”

Ephesians 4:11–12

We honor the apostolic faith handed down through Scripture and recognize these five ministry gifts as ways Christ continues to equip His Church. They are not titles for status or a hierarchy above the people of God. Their purpose is service: building up the body, cultivating unity, and helping every believer mature and participate in ministry.

Five gifts. One body.

Every gift helps
the Church become whole.

These ministries work together. No single gift carries the fullness of Christ’s ministry alone.

A

Apostles

Calling the Church to hear and faithfully respond to God, strengthening discernment, courage, holiness, and hope.

Proclaiming the good news of Jesus and equipping believers to carry that witness into neighborhoods, relationships, and the wider world.

Belief becomes practice

Truth we confess.
A life we embody.

Our doctrine takes shape in worship, prayer, baptism, communion, discipleship, justice, generosity, reconciliation, and care for our neighbors. We want what we believe about Jesus to be visible in how we live together.
